Cleaners

This is a business that I pass every day on my way to work. This sign has been like this for the past week. I couldn’t just let this go by.

jetBlue + YouTube = Authentic

February 20th, 2007

I have never flown jetBlue myself, but despite their major screw up last week I would still probably be willing to fly with them. We all screw up sometimes, but what really is upsetting is when nothing is learned or nothing is done to improve the problem. Or worse yet, when the problem is not even addressed.

Here is a video just posted on YouTube by jetBlue’s CEO David Neeleman addressing the 11 hour passenger imprisonment last week.

The video seems pretty unscripted and authentic. It is a video like this that showcases the way video on the web is changing the way PR is done and the way business communications is handled. So what do you think….authentic or just a cover your you know what move?

Update: At 10:00 AM when I posted this video there were 400 views, 20 hours later 22,437 views. Smart move from thier PR department?… I think so. Where else can you invest $0 and get your message out to 20 thousand plus people in less than 24 hours and have other people blog about it as well. Also check out Dan Rayburn’s take on the whole video. Thanks to Jose at thinkjose for the link to Dan’s new site. I will definitely be paying attention to what he has to say.
